Ancient Lakes AKA Potholes Coulee Bike Ride
You can descend on a trail from Cave B Winery to the riverbed area below the Gorge Amphitheater. Then you can cross a large creek just below the amphitheater and continue on trail towards Ancient Lakes. It is flat and at times has tons of wildflowers and bloom.
You can then turn into the into lakes with amazing views of rocky buttes, turquoise lakes and waterfalls. Then you can ride the road back to the amphitheater instead of the trail going back for a different view. This added miles on flat pavement and farm roads so if it's not for you, you may want to avoided this last route. If accessing from the gorge we would suggest going back the same way you came.
It's a classic Columbia Basin sagebrush and basalt doubletrack and single track ride. You will need a Fish & Wildlife Pass or Discover Pass required @ trail head parking area.
